The fifth and final round of the 2022 ADAC Sim Racing Expo Professional Trophy by Simracing.GP will not only provide us with a fantastic spectacle of racing, but will also have the added excitement of a finale that will see over 20 of the 44 teams battle live from the Expo itself on December 3rd from the NürnbergMesse.
Four teams will be battling it out around the iconic Nürburgring GP circuit, as they will compete to see who will take the top prize of €2,000 from a total prize pool of €10,000 that will be split between the top 20 teams overall.
Heading into the final race, there have been four different winners from the first four races so far, as Williams Esports took the win last time out at Kyalami, putting them as the ones to beat with a total of 97 points.
Triton Racing are also in hot contention for the top prize, along with Unicorns of Love and YAS HEAT, who won at Bathurst, COTA and Spa-Francorchamps respectively. With a maximum score of 30 points up for grabs, they will all be ones to watch over the course of the six-hour race around the 5.148-km circuit.
With the remainder of the field also battling hard for the remaining prize fund on offer, the Nürburgring circuit will provide plenty of close-quarter battles, great overtaking and a real challenge for everyone to master, depending on what weather that may also come into play in the Eifel region in the far west of Germany.
Beaver Grease Racing, who will also compete at the SimRacing Expo themselves, have been the very best of the Qualifier teams, having not only won the last three rounds, but are also eighth overall in the standings, showcasing that they can also compete with the very best.
Even with the top five Qualifiers covered by 30 points coming into the finale, it doesn’t mean that it will be easy for the Lithuanian team to secure another win, as they have the likes of WPS Racing Team, Team Racing Point, VENARI Racing and Simware.Pro by VDES battling with them right up to the finish.
You can watch the final round of the Professional Trophy by SimracingGP live at ADAC SimRacing Expo – or you can tune in to the live stream on Twitch or YouTube if you are not in Nuremberg.
