Who can stop Christopher Högfeldt? The Swedish driver for Virtualdrivers by TX3 has had the upper hand in all four races of the ADAC GT Masters eSports Championship season so far, leads the overall standings with 160 points in total – does the trend continue at the Nürburgring on March 15th?
Högfeldt’s perfect resumé had been dented in the first race of round two at Watkins Glen originally as Jack Keithley (Williams Esports) had bested the Swede in the battle for P1 on the American track – however, the Brit incurred a time penalty after the event as he had exceeded the speed limit during the warmup lap.
This means that Keithley is going into the Nürburgring races as fourth overall, 64 points behind leader Högfeldt – his closest rival is now Bence Bánki of Dörr Esports, who sits in second with 111 points. A certain pressure on Högfeldt’s competition can not be denied if the title race should not see a preliminary decision at the season’s halfway point.
The German livestream of both Nürburgring races starts at 7.15pm CET. After a ten-minute qualifying, the competitors enter the 15-minute sprint race before qualifying for the 30-minute sprint race afterwards, which includes a mandatory pit stop.
