Danish SimRacing hardware manufacturer Asetek Simsports has a new pedal set on offer – and it is quite a special one: Thanks to a cooperation with Italian hypercar manufacturer Pagani, they have created the Pagani Huayra R Sim Racing Pedals, which aim to recreate the feel of their real-life counterpart as closely as possible.
The pedals are sure to grab anyone’s attention just because of their looks: While most pedal sets on the market use relatively standard shapes for their face plates, the Huayra R Sim Racing Pedals come with oval ones instead, with the throttle pedal featuring one in vertical orientation while the brake pedal plate is horizontal. The latter also bears the Huayra R wordmark.

Of course, this is due to the pedals looking like this in the real car as well. “The pedal arms and footplates on the Pagani Huayra R SimRacing Pedal Set are based on the exact design used in the hypercar itself, with just a few tweaks to fit it for sim racing use”, Asetek states on their website. The two-pedal set uses Asetek’s T.H.O.R.P. (Twin Hydraulic Opposing Rapid Pistons) system for the brake pedal and mimics the feel of the real brake pedal.
While the brake pedal uses a load cell, the throttle pedal operates on a magnetic hall sensor, meaning the sensor itself is immune to mechanical wear. The set is “plug ‘n play” with Asetek’s own RaceHub software, according to their website.
