The car fleet in Assetto Corsa Competizione is going to grow on March 23rd, and one of the new cars has now been confirmed: As suspected, the BMW M2 CS Racing is coming to the sim – if the rumor mill was right concerning the rest of the upcoming cars remains to be seen in the coming days.
A teaser video by Kunos Simulazioni seemed to confirm the speculation already, and when it comes to the BMW M2 CS Racing, there is certainty now: The touring car will be part of the upcoming content update and form a new car class in ACC.
Interesting: In real-life racing, the M2 CS Racing is fielded in the TC America series, among others – this series is hosted by the SRO, just like the GT World Challenge that forms the focal point of ACC. There has been speculation about the next batch of tracks that is coming to ACC will be from North America – the BMW fans the flames of this now. It is not yet known when SimRacers can get excited for new circuits in Assetto Corsa Competizione, however.
The other vehicles that are possibly going to be added are the Ferrari 488 Challenge, the Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo EVO2, the Porsche 992 GT3 Cup and the Audi R8 LMS GT3 evo II.
