After the big success of the 2022 event, the 2023 ADAC SimRacing Expo sets out to be even better: While Nuremberg proved to be a good environment to bring the world of SimRacing together, SRE23 is going to be even closer to the people from October 13th to 15th – from 2023 onwards, the event is going to take place at Messe Dortmund!

Located in the biggest metropolitan area in Europe with more than 22 million people in 150-kilometer radius at the heart of the Ruhrgebiet, the ADAC SimRacing Expo aims to reach even more fans of real and virtual motorsports in Dortmund. As the venue is located close to the city center and right next to the famous Signal Iduna Park football stadium, the new location has numerous activities to offer nearby once doors close for the day at SRE23. We have embedded the full press release regarding the announcement for you below.

“It has been an incredible journey with the ADAC SimRacing Expo that we have started in 2018. To develop the discipline and the fair itself was nearly impossible during the COVID 19 pandemic – now, our hunger for advancing sim racing and the fair is bigger than ever”, states Michael Wamser, CEO of cowana GmbH. “In our talks, Messe Dortmund in particular has proven itself as a versatile and solution-oriented partner with an eye for the future and innovation. We plan to welcome more than 30.000 visitors from the metropolitan area this year and round out their visits with other topics like car tuning, entertainment electronics and a job fair.”

Messe Dortmund is no less excited about the partnership, as Sabine Loos, Managing Director Westfalenhallen Unternehmensgruppe GmbH, underscores: “The exhibition for virtual motorsports shows a strong growth after the pandemic and we are convinced that the SimRacing Expo with its innovative concept is perfectly placed in Dortmund.”

The move from the Nürburgring to Nuremberg for the 2022 saw a remarkable jump in size for not only the venue, but also the Esports paddock, stage, exhibitor booths and number of visitors – a development that SRE23 will certainly want to build upon. Manufacturers like Logitech, Asetek and Fanatec had brought impressive displays to present the latest and greatest in sim racing hardware, while some of the best Esports teams in the world battled it out for prize money in the Professional Trophy and the ADAC Digital GT500.
