DTM Trophy: Moritz Löhner is back

In 2021, Moritz Löhner ventured out of the sim rig and into the real race car – and in 2022, the SimRacer will once again be piloting a BMW M4 GT4 in the DTM Trophy: His team, FK Performance, welcomes back the Franconian in the driver’s seat for the new season.

Löhner’s performance in the first round of the 2021 DTM Trophy in Monza was a surprise that hardly anyone would have expected: P2 as the first qualifying result with a P3 finish caused amazement. The rest of the season for the 23-year-old, who competes on the virtual tracks for Dörr Esports, was also positive – a fourth place in Assen and another third place in Hockenheim resulted in eighth in the final standings. Despite three retirements at the end of the season, this whetted the appetite for more.

This also applies to FK Performance: the reigning team champion will again enter the DTM Trophy season with Löhner in 2022. The series kicks off at the Lauritzring – so you can keep your fingers crossed for Löhner starting May 20th.
