F1 22: Free Weekend During US Grand Prix

SimRacers that have not tried F1 22 yet could not get a better chance to do so than this weekend: To go along with the upcoming United States Grand Prix, EA Sports makes the game free to play for the entire Grand Prix weekend, starting October 20th.

No matter if players are on PC, PlayStation or XBox, the free trial is not restricted to any platform. Once the trial ends, they will be able to benefit from special offers for new players, and their progress from the trial period will carry over, too.

“With the Circuit of the Americas just around the corner, we wanted to do something special and allow as many players as possible to experience the new era of Formula 1”, said Paul Jeal, Senior Director F1 Franchise at Codemasters. To get fans involved even further, EA and Codemasters have teamed up with McLaren driver Daniel Ricciardo for a track guide video which you can find below.

To tie in with this, F1 22 launches its Ricciardo Hot Lap Challenge, in which players can post their fastest laps around COTA using the hashtags #RicciardoChallenge and #F122gameSweepstakes from October 20th to 24th. A randomly-decided racer will win a meet and greet with Ricciardo as well as a race-off with the Australian fan favorite.

US-themed content is also available for free until November 7th. Any player who starts F1 22 until then will receive a Stars and Stripes livery, helmet, race suit and gloves plus the Griddy podium celebration to use with their created drivers.
