With the closed beta set to start before the end of the year, not too much is known about RENNSPORT yet. An interesting bit of news from June was the inclusion of the Goodwood Hillclimb course, which has now been shown in action for the first time.
Official versions of the site of the legendary Goodwood Festival of Speed are rare – Gran Turismo 6 features a rendition of the tricky hillclimb track, but thus far, no other game or sim does. A mod version is available for Assetto Corsa, too.
RENNSPORT offers another version of the point-to-point track, as shown in a video on their social media. In it, Joshua Rogers is seen driving the Porsche Mission R up the famous hill, narrowly avoiding the straw bales lining the track. Goodwood looks nicely detailed and seems to capture the atmosphere of the hillclimb runs well, including camera flashes from the crowd.
Whether or not the inclusion of the hillclimb track means that there will be classic content – which would only be fitting – in RENNSPORT as well remains to be seen, however. Thus far, the only other cars than the Mission R that are known to be in the sim are the BMW M4 GT3 and the Porsche 991 II GT3 R.
