rFactor 2: Donington Park to be Released in Q2

A classic is coming for rFactor 2: With the content drop for Q2 expected in May, a legendary track from Great Britain will find its way into the simulation – an official version of Donington Park will be part of the track lineup, Studio 397 announced.

A community-created version has been available in the Steam Workshop for quite some time, but with the official release, rFactor 2 users can look forward to a laser-scanned Donington Park.

Whether it’s GT racing, touring cars or even Formula 1, which once made an appearance in Leicestershire in 1993 and was the stage for one of triple world champion Ayrton Senna’s most famous performances – there’s almost no racing discipline that hasn’t raced at Donington. Races were first held in 1937, so Donington is one of the world’s historic tracks.

With the new laser scan and lots of new reference material, Studio 397 promises to bring “the most modern and up-to-date version of the track in SimRacing” to the grid. Further info is expected in the coming weeks already.
