In a new, short trailer, Sony presents the haptic extra features enabled by the new Dual Sense controller of the Playstation 5. A short scene puts the functionality for the upcoming racing game "Gran Turismo 7" in the foreground. Using the BAC-Mono, which has been seen in previous trailers for the racing simulation, as an example, you can see exactly what happens in the controller when the BAC-Mono's suspension starts to work by running over curbs or riding out into the gravel.

Dual Sense videos show off new games

In addition to the short scene for Gran Turimso 7, other games can be seen in the trailer that show a very good implementation of the new haptic features. Especially in the recently released action game "Returnal", these features are absolutely unique. Not only do you feel the recoil of the weapons, but also gentle raindrops hitting your spacesuit. In the new "Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart", the use of the different weapons is also supposed to be improved by the haptic possibilities. There's no doubt that the capabilities of the new controller will also contribute significantly to the immersion in "Gran Turismo 7". You can watch the short video here

When will Gran Turismo 7 be released?

As you probably already know, the new racing simulation "Gran Turismo 7" has been postponed from a date still within the year 2021 to the year 2022 in order to ensure the highest possible quality of the title. The editorial team of SimRacing Unlimited is currently betting on a release date in the second or third quarter of 2022. By then, the annoying delivery problems of the new Playstation 5 should finally be a thing of the past.
